Caustic Calcined Magnesite
Caustic Calcined Magnesite
Features Magnesite calcination at 750-1100 ℃ temperatures according to light burning, its product called Caustic Calcined Magnesite.

Features
Magnesite calcination at 750-1100 ℃ temperatures according to "light" burning, its product called Caustic Calcined Magnesite, referred to as light burning powder because burn, generally about 50%, reducing magnesite so by lighter to burn, MgO style content in the ore is almost double. In this sense, light burning is the most effective means of MgO enrichment. In addition, light firing is also a preparation for magnesite hot separation and some heavy separation. Light burned magnesium has high activity and is an ideal raw material for producing high density magnesia. Caustic Calcined Magnesite mainly produces cementitious materials, such as magnesium-containing cement. Thermal insulation and sound insulation building materials, also can be used as ceramic raw materials. After the chemical treatment of light burned magnesium, various magnesium salts can be made and used as raw materials in medicine, rubber, artificial fiber and paper making.
Physical properties: white light powder, odourless, tasteless, this product does not dissolve in water and ethanol, melting point 2852 ℃, boiling point 3600 ℃, magnesium oxide have highly refractory insulation performance. Through above 1000 ℃ high temperature burning can be transformed into crystal, rose to more than 1500 ℃ is dead burned magnesia and sintered magnesia. Chemical properties: magnesium oxide is a basic oxide with common properties of basic oxides. When exposed to air, it is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide and gradually becomes basic magnesium carbonate. The light product is faster than the heavy one, and combines with water to generate magnesium hydroxide, which is slightly alkaline. The pH of saturated water solution is 10.3. Soluble in acids and ammonium salts are insoluble in water and their solutions are alkaline. It's insoluble in ethanol.
