The binder is formed under high pressure and fired at the temperature of 1550-1600 ℃. The bricks are then treated with waterproof and packaged. The fired magnesia - calcium brick is mainly used in the AOD furnace for refining stainless steel. The obvious structural characteristics are that calcite is in direct contact with dicalcium silicate and tricalcium silicate, and the low eutectic (4CaO·Al2O3·Fe2O3) is filled in the crystal gaps of dicalcium silicate and tricalcium silicate in a veinlike manner, Low porosity, rul start temperature higher than 1700 ℃, alkaline slag resistance is good.
The unburnt Magnesia Calcium brick is made of synthetic Magnesia Calcium sand, fused magnesia sand as the main raw material and anhydrous resin or modified asphalt as the binder. The unburnt magnesia calcium brick is mainly used in the bottom and top of AOD furnace, the non - slag line of VOD furnace and LF furnace.
